Personalize Your English Learning
Online courses, made for you.
No two people are the same, so why do some schools teach the exact same thing to every student? We design every course with you. Online speaking sessions focus on your goals - like speaking English naturally and fluently. Each session is designed for your level and learning track. Homework is assigned to continually enhance your learning through multimedia platforms and tasks.
What are the English Courses like?
Students can decide when to learn and how many hours they want to learn each week. Online classes are usually 1 hour. We’ll focus on maximizing student talk time. Lessons may include intensive exploration of executive language forms, English based tasks, grammar specific conversations with error corrections, native English expressions and fluency support. All English Coaches are certified & professionally trained to provide corrections when needed and give a lot of examples for you to learn from. To see what my classes look like click HERE.
Is SENYC the right program for you?
English courses are designed for A2 - C1 students as described by the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). We specialize in conversation, speaking, grammar, vocabulary building, accent reduction and confidence building. Classes prepare beginners and advanced students to use English independently like a native speaker. Additionally, we support both non-native English speakers as well as native English speakers with professional support. This may include document editing, resume assistance and job seeking support as well as presentation preparation.
Learn Anytime & Anywhere
We use online and offline materials to continue the English learning process beyond the classroom. This includes strategic homework assignments based on your interests, work and needs. An example of this includes articles from the Harvard Business review, TedTalk learning series as well as original Speak English NYC lessons and downloadable material.
Approach to Learning
Most people learn through observing, doing and engagement. Peyton, a New York City native, and his team will help you to use the language naturally. We meet online to practice natural conversations covering various topics, grammar tuning and common American expressions as well as work-related Business English. Improvement happens through examples, language production and error corrections.
Speak English NYC students explore what surprised them about SENYC’s style of teaching and learning English as well as provide additional feedback, ideas, and suggestions.
